Berry, banana and cauliflower smoothie

Most kids love berries, and this vibrant pink smoothie is always a hit. What makes it extra special is that it’s blended with cauliflower, adding a boost of nutrients without altering the flavour.

This is great for any time of the day, a lovely zingy start to go with breakfast or a great pick me up for after school. It's packed with antioxidants to keep your kids healthy this winter and fibre to support their gut health. It's also an easy way to increase your child’s daily intake of vegetables and take the pressure off loading all their veggies into dinner.

The brilliant thing about cauliflower in a smoothie is that is doesn't change the taste or colour so the kids won't even know it's there. It's also amazing for providing a wealth of nutrients and supporting detoxification in the liver. I hope your family enjoy it!

I use frozen cauliflower and berries in this as it is most cost effective and make a lovely refreshing cool smoothie.

Recipe: Make a 500ml smoothie

30-40g floret of frozen cauliflower

60g mixed frozen berries

1 medium banana

1 tbsp chia seed

top up with milk (around 350ml)

Method:

All all ingredients to a blender and blend into a smooth drink.
