This is a great recipe if you have kids who are always asking for chocolate. With these overnight oats, you can let your kids have chocolate for breakfast and know that it's not compromising their health, as these overnight oats are a wonderful source of fibre, healthy fat, and protein. The cacao offers lots of health benefits from antioxidants, minerals, and other beneficial compounds.

Overnight oats are also great for a busy family, as they're made in a few minutes the night before, making for a great no-stress breakfast or quick after-school snack.

Recipe:

Makes 2 servings (or 4 child sized servings)

Prep: 3-4 hours

Ingredients:

180ml milk of your choice

2 tbsp almond butter

50g oats

1-2 tbsp honey (depending on preference)

2 tbsp chia seeds

1-2 tbsp cacao powder (depending on how chocolaty you like them)

¼ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp vanilla essence

50g raspberries

Method:

Add all ingredients except raspberries to a mixing bowl and mix using a whisk. Whisk until you have a smooth texture and all ingredients are evenly distributed. This may take a few minutes.

Pour into two bowls and put in the fridge for a minimum of 3-4 hours, ideally overnight.

To serve top with raspberries and enjoy!
